1 15 oz can garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained
or soak about 1/2 cup dried beans overnight
1 tbsp. sesame seeds
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp salt
Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Slowly add a little water if it is too thick to get desired consistency.
Options: Add roasted red peppers, jalapenos, or spices, such as cumin and paprika, to create different flavors.
